I just planted the new hygrophila plant yesterday, I opened the lid on my tank this AM and it smells like an ocean bog...yuck! Is this normal with this plant or is it dying?
Sounds like it didn't fare so well in the wintertime shipping. It might not be completely lost, though. leave the core planted after the leaves rot away, and while not highly likely, it's possible that it can resprout.
bummer, I removed them, they were a disasterous mess in the tank and in the filter :/ looks like a bit of wasted money, but the rest of my plants are okay so thats good
