Favorite fish?
Hey everyone, so I was wondering whats your absolute favorite type of fish and maybe some runner ups? If you wouldn't mind maybe providing some info on them too, that would be great! I'm trying to figure out what fish I should stock in the future for my online store.

My all time favorites are my dwarfs (apistos and rams). They are soft water fish and don't need a ton of room. Lots of personality. Runner ups would be cories, shrimp, loaches, von rios, and neon tetras. Theres other fish I'd love to have, just don't have a big tank yet.

My favorites are my Fundulopanchax gardneri killifish (does anyone know the common name for these fish?). They are very colorful and if you get a male and female you are sure to see them mate or at least try to. They are very active and are a pleasure to have in my tank. Runners up will be

Haha, thats great. I didn't know anything could boss angels around. Do you know how hard rams are to breed? Apistos sound great too, and killifish would be awesome to have and sell since they're so unique. Thanks everyone!!

I love clown loaches, angelfish, hachetfish, neon tetras.
Runner's up would have to be: discus. I saw them at Farmland and I like the way they look.

Sorry I was rushing on the one. Runners up would be albino Cory's and Kulhi loaches which look almost like short and skinny eels

My favorite would probably be Discus, but I don't have a tank big enough, or enough money to buy one. Runner ups would probably be Dwarf Gouramis, then probably Orange Sakura Shrimp.

Also known as Gardner's Killifish, and I have seen pictures of them in tip-top shape. Very beautiful little fish.

Welcome. Not the shortest name in the world, but It's kind of annoying to say the Latin name of a fish that doesn't have a common name yet.

my favorites.................hmmmmmm...there are hundreds of them..mostly plecos and cories and aspidoras...aspidoras are in the cory group..they are rarely seen in shops yet are fairly easy to breed..same with many of the cories..
most plecos are a little more difficult to breed then the bushynoses..

joey...you had better get used to using the long scientific names....almost all fish have them...many have no common names...especially killies and rift lake species...
and there are many fish that are given common names by shop owners or wholesalers in only one particular and can only be properly recognized with their scientific names...

So sticking with saying the Fundulopanchax gardneri is better than knowing a common name? Well at least I used that name to find it on fishbase.org so I guess it's more preferred...
