I need help with prices!
So... what would you all pay for a half pound of guaranteed good quality fish food that isn't a big name brand sold by an online store that doesn't have a big name (for now...) either?

Well I purchased a 5 oz container of TetraFin flakes for $9.99. Don't know if that helps but by what your saying I'd say maybe $13-15?

Ok, maybe I'll try $13.00? btw this is me planning on selling Loha's food on my online store www.indeepwateronline.com so it's not as hypothetical as it seems.

I like loha's stuff over tetra and Ken's. But check online prices on kensfish.com and angelsplus.

Ok, thats a good idea. Tomorrow I plan on scouting out what some name brand fish food costs at the fish stores around me, but I should definitely check online too.

Honestly, I'd stick with name brand, but I'd try it at least once. perhaps $10.00 for a 1/2 pound.

Always learning, eh. Guess you missed the day that common courtesy was being taught?
Quite rude to to join a forum, have no knowledge of the subject or person(s) in question & make you remarks as you did.

"Honestly, I'd stick with name brand, because it could be trusted a little more than Loha's food (no offense Loha) Worst case scenario, If he didn't like you on the forum and your ordered his food, he could lace it with Draino or something, lol. But I'd try it at least once. perhaps $10.00 for a 1/2 pound."
you know.....it's too late to retract...like i told another...once you pull the trigger ; it is too late to call the bullet back...
I DO TAKE OFFENSE............you have no knowledge of the foods i sell nor even about me yet you take it upon yourself to cast dispersions on my integrity as well as the products i sell...i work hard to provide the best quality products and service to my customers..some of my foods are considered some of the finest in the world..not by me or by my customers ; but by the scientific community...one of those foods sells for $240.00 per pound....none of your "brand names" have it.....they are out there to make money...they really don't care what you feed your fish...
personally ; i think you need to learn to keep your mouth shut unless you have first hand knowledge of what you are talking about.....
have you ever even thought about looking at my feedback ?
here it is...and i think that it speaks for itself.....
http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/aucti...&vfb&Lohachata
oh yes.....some of your " name brands " get their foods from a manufacturer in China....almost all of my foods are made in the USA....no preservatives....the foods i do get from other countries are of more than exceptional quality...they are what the research scientists use for feeding the new fry of the hard to feed species that they are breeding.....not joe the guppy guy..

Your right, I should keep my mouth shut. Sorry about this fiasco. I don't have firsthand knowledge, heck, I can hardly keep fish healthy. You definitely have more experience, and I would fail trying to make quality fish food. I haven't looked at your feedback, but I'll go look now. Again, sorry for insulting you, I shouldn't have done that.

You should be careful with ebay. Some food is old (low vitamins) and some Chinese stuff had melamine a few years back. Check seller ratings and read ingredients. Most of the "name" brands are okay, but some are definitely better than others. Loha's food rock. Fish eat every bite. Have you seen fish not like one color of tetra flake and always spit it out? I have. And while high price doesn't equal quality, if food is really cheap, its cheap food.

Well my fish do like all the colored flakes from TetraFin. And I won't disagree that Loha's food is probably really good

Try ordering from loha and selling it in your store. Buy a lot of it from loha and sell it for more. His food is high quality.
