Moved fish to new tank

I moved my barbs from one tank to their new one. They are swimming around like crazy! Is this normal or is there something wrong?

Sure, did you move them into a bigger tank? If you did they might just be happy with all the new room.

Yeah, that will make them pretty frantic if anything. It's perfectly normal.

a rapid change of environments will often cause a psychotic response..fish will frantically swim all over the tank..up and down the sides....this may calm down after several days and suddenly without warning the fish will start to jump out of the tank and biting anything near it....keep you face and fingers away....

It helps to keep the lights off for at least 24 hrs after relocating-keeps 'em calmer.
