I'm looking for some advice, thoughts, observations, etc.
Here's the setup: 220 gallon freshwater tank, occupied by a group of clown loaches, a school of silver dollars, and a couple Severums (one gold, one red). There's also a single Firemouth Cichlid, and what I believe to be a Honduran Redpoint.
I'd like to add a school of about 10-12 dither fish...preferably something that will spend most of their time near the top of the tank. I'm thinking about either Buenos Aires Tetras, or Giant Danios. I've had problems with aggressive Buenos Aires in the past (they killed some of my long fin bristlenose plecos). I think they are both big and fast enough to avoid becoming snacks for the Severums...but I could be wrong.
Any thoughts? Buenos Aires vs. Giant Danios? Any other suggestions?
