We've got 10 black neon tetras that have been on flake food since we got them a few months ago. They seem to be fine.
We just got a bunch of julii cories the other day, and we bought some shrimp pellets and sinking veggie pellets to feed them.
The tetras seem interested in the cories' food, but they can't get the big pieces in their mouths. I'm a bit glad of this, as I know all the cory food is going to the cories. However, I wouldnt have a problem pulverizing some of the cory food for the tetras if I knew that the either or both the shrimp or veggie pellets are beneficial for them. Any thoughts?
i agree...mash it up a little and let em at it...as i always tell folks...variety is extremely important for the diet.....they would also probably enjoy some Plecocaine....lol...
My black neon tetras loves shrimp pellets. I never smashed them up for them, they would just carry them around and gnaw on them. It's hilarious to watch them carry them around, spit them out and catch them again between bites. Silly fish.
My red line tetras do the same thing.
