I have a 55 gallon tank that's been running for 8 months. I only have two Clown Barbs at the moment. I have 2 more and an albino rainbow shark in another tank bulking up. They are too small to go with the others right now.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on fish that I can put with them? I want something that looks different and colorful but I'm open to all suggestions.
Is anyone familiar with this type of fish? I don't see very many posts about them. All of my tanks up to this point have been community.
Please leave any suggestions you might have about what I can add or what you might do.
What do you want, bottom dwellers, mid-level, etc? Rainbow fish are nice. They're peaceful and very beautiful. Corys are also great; they're very active and friendly. Personally, I love Angelfish. Your tank is definitely big enough for them and although many may tell you that angels won't get along together, I've forced my two to get along in a reasonably small tank and it worked. They are very interested in what's going on outside the tank and will come up to greet you once they get to know you, one of the smartest fish out there in my opinion. So my vote is for angels

I love rainbow fish. And I've been thinking about getting a shoal of 5 Julii corys. Im just trying to find something that my clown barbs won't bother. They are extremely active, zipping from one side to the other, and my larger one nips at the other and forces him into hiding. I'm hoping that once I can add the two others he will be distracted enough to add something else.
For this reason I'm not too sure that angels will work. They are a little too slow moving for my guys I think.
