I've been fishlessly cycling my tank for about a week. I first dosed a whole 1.69oz bottle of Tetra SafeStart, (Don't rant, please) let it run for a few days through my Aquaclear 30 (150 GPH) to let the population of bacteria build up. I dosed pure ammonia on Monday. my tests came back higher than expected. How long should it take to get rid of the ammonia? Did I add too much and need to change the water?
(Pics are in the attachments, 1st is my test results as of yesterday, second is the tank as of this morning)

looks from the 1st pic that your ammonia may be around 4ppm, don't add no more till it drops to about 0.5ppm then dose to 2ppm as it looks like you are getting nitrites, your ammonia is higher in about 8ppm range do a 25% water change or leave till it drops, up to you.
check ammonia twice a day (every 12 hours) and dose to 2ppm if needed.
and as always.... be patient
