Would you buy this tank??
http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/for/3539037352.html
The guy is offering to deliver it to me, it has a huge silver arowana, and a huge clown knife fish. He has it listed as a 125 but I'm pretty sure it's a 100 gallon. Need some responses quickly :P

Do you like the fish that comes with it or do you have a place that you can re-home them?

The dimensions are 60"x18"20"
I'd sell the fish off and make it my new discus tank.

beautiful tank, but the arrowana may be difficult to re-home? He's not nearly fully grown, and not too many people can accomodate those big boys. My friends had one about that size. Notice the heavy stuff on the tank lid? that's to keep him in the tank. My friends A. used to regularly jump out of the tank, even with bricks on top--they had a big towel nearby to roll him up in and plop him back in the water! They live in the Amazon and jump up to grab monkeys out of the trees. (I am not making this up) Such a nice tank, tho--would be well worth it, if you could find an Arrowana fan with a really big tank.

Yeah I know all that about the arrowana. I'm gonna sell off the fish. But I'm getting the tank! He's gonna deliver it Saturday morning. It comes with a Fluval 304. This tank is a steal. I'll probably get money back after I sell off the fish and the tank this is replacing.

Thats a 100 Gallon tank forsure. I'm actually buying one myself and the dimensions are very similar.
Not sure its that great of a deal tho. I'm getting a complete brand new 100 gal with stand and canopy for $500 out the door from my LFS. Hes even letting me choose the color of the wood. All I need is the light. The price that guys wants for a used setup is a bit high if you ask me.

Congrats, Snyderguy! Can't wait to see the new set up. Sounds like you got a great deal: looks like it has the lights, hood, rocks, gravel, heater, thermometer, even a magnetic algae scraper, plus free delivery? Makes no difference to me that its used, I figure that once you pour water into a new one the first time, it's used!

There's a Petland near me currently selling an Arapaima. I don't even understand how these kinds of fish get circulated into the hobby. Especially in the middle of Georgia...
My Fluval 304 has served me very well for quite a few years, now. If the tank really is only 93 gallons it should get by, but some extra filtration wouldn't hurt since the 304 is only rated for a 70 gallon tank. I'm personally thinking about upgrading to the 405.

Arapaima, in Marietta??
Awesome. Bizarre, but awesome. Someone is in for one heck of a time trying to house a 10-ft long fish someday.
