Can shubunkins, gold fantails and common gold fish live together? Or will any two of them fight with each-other? I heard the shubunkins and common goldfish are fine together but what about the gold fantail? Any help is appreciated thanks!
The only problem with mixing "common"goldfish and fancy ones is that with their long fins and big, round bodies, fancies can't compete well for food with the more streamlined, faster fish. For this reason, I avoided mixing comets and fancies when I kept goldfish. However, as long as you watch carefully to make sure everyone gets their share of the food, they should be ok, since neither is aggressive and they have similar water needs.
