Exclamation Urgent help asap

k i have a small rock formation hut typ thing in my holding tank well my koi was big enough to go in but not big enough to come out.....the window opening. she/he got stuck and i managed to get it out but now it just gaspes and moves its gills but wont ballance out or move fins. What should i do i dont want it to die any ideas guys and girls.

maybe you got some of her natural slime off of it, and thats irritated it. I can't think of much else. was she like this before?

why are we so confused people lol. my cousin has his own koi. mine that died was in holding tank with ick. and he went through the window from the inside and his top fin wouldidnt let him go through and his gills would not let him back up. By the time i got to him/her it coudl not move anyhting just gasp and move gills so top fin went down and i pushed her/him through. DIdnt take much to get him/her out she/he could have got out by itself but it could not move rest of body. Thats only time a fish died were i coudl have done somthign about it. Just didnt see it quick enough.

if it couldn't ballence the stress might have caused its swim bladder to become injured (this happened to my molly) and not allow it swim right. This would have killed along with the loss of slime coat

i think it was stressed he/she was stuck to long and got stressed and tired of trying to get out.
