Default Check out my new background...

...and a somewhat failed project, but first check out the background pics
A couple of light bulbs went off in Fish_Docs and my heads almost simultaneously a few weeks ago, talking about different BG's.
Spray painted the back of my tank using Rust-o-leum's "Stone Creations" paint. The color is sienna. It adds a stony texture on the surface, but there's definitely a different effect looking through the tank. From about 5 feet away, it looks as if you're looking at the bottom of a tank full of sand.
The pics are after the last coat was layed, so my equipment is all out of whack. You might be able to see some masking tape on the wall.
The close up by the heater describes it the best.

The other project wasn't a complete failure, just postponed and shrunken down a lot. The only reason I didn't proceed was because my fish totally rejected the idea. I'm going to get a 10gal to propagate plants and moss, using the lattice. Homemade, tanksafe lattice. Took me about 4 hours to make a 1' x 2' section. It was going to be my unique moss wall with some java fern and some lace fern.
