Wow you wouldn't beleive it!
Last night about 9pm I noticed that my snakehead had a massive stomach, he then spat out my sucking loach and before I could rescue him the snakehead grabbed it and swallowed it again. I netted the snakehead as quick as I could and tried to see if he would spit it out , the fish didn't budge. So I put the snakehead back in the tank and went to bed, the next morning I came down stairs and the snakehead still had a big buldge. After a few minutes of making breakfast (My tank is in the kitchen) a saw a little fish darting around so fast I couldn't tell what it was. I then noticed that the snakeheads stomach was flat! It must be the sucking loach. I quickly netted it, it was unrecognisable, its fins were all torn and its skin was all flaking off. I just couldn't believe that a fish survived the night in another fishes stomoch without number one being crushed, and digested. That sucking loach is one hell of a fighter. I bet it's evolved over the years not to be devourered by predators. I will let you know how he's doing in a few days time, but from now on I think that the sucking loach is one of my favourite fish purely for survival.

I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families: Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers. |

Yikes if I were him, I'd be knocking on the Aquarium glass going "I want to move" "Help"!
