Default Moving my tANKS

IM BUYING A 55G SOON AND TODAY IM GOING TO ASSEMBLE THE STAND FOR THE TANK BUT I HAVE A PROBLEM. i HAVE MY 20G AND MY 10G ON A DOUBLE SHELVED STAND NEAR MY BED IN A CORNER. IM GOING TO HAVE TO MOVE ME BED TO THE CORNER AND THE 10&20G TANKS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF MY BED. iM DOING THIS TO MAKE MORE ROOM ON THE OPPOSITE WALL FOR MY 55G, I HAVE ROOM BUT NO WALKING SPACE, MOVEING MY BED WILL MAKE WALKING ROOM ANY IDEAS ON HOW I SHOULD APPROACH THIS.

i KNOW THIS IS GOING TO BE A VERY STRESSFUL TIME FOR MY FISH B/C IM GOING TO HAVE TO EMPTY OUT ABOUT 70% OF THE WATER IN ORDER TO MOVE THE 20G AND ABPUT 50% OF THE 10G. sHOPULD I KEEP THE FISH IN THE TANK IN SHALLOW WATER WHILE I MOVE THEM? OR PUT THEM INTO A BUCKET? aLSO HOW BAD WILL IT HURT THE FISH IF I HAVE TO ADD NEW WATER AFTER THE MOVE. i DONT HAVE ANYSPARE CONTRAINERS TANKS OR BUCKETS TO STORE THE WATER I TAKE OUT. tHE COMPONETS OF MY TAP AND MY TANK ARE VERY VERY CLOSE AND I HAVE A great BIOLOGICAL FILTER .

iM PLANNING ON BUILDING THE STAND AND PUTTING IT IN PLACE SO THAT I HAVE A PLACE TO PUT THE TANKS WHILE I MOVE THEM. tHEN MOVE THE OLD STAND TO ITS NEW LOCATION AND MOVE MY BED AROUND. tHE PUT THE TANKS BACK ON THE OLD STANDS AND ADD WATER. tHE IN ABOUT 4 WEEKS ILL GET THE 55G CYCLE AND ADD THE 20g FISH TO THE 55G...SOUND GOOD?

The best thing is to put them in a 5 gallon bucket filled with tank water for the move. You can pick them up at walmart for about $2.
When moving a tank be very careful when moving it with water. The sloching of water can put more stress on the seals than they are designed for. WIth tanks that size it should not be to bad.
If you have 5 gallons in the bucket and empty part of the tank it should be no more than a normal water change for them.

im just gonna wait till i got the 55g cycled, its already in place (the stand) and i actually have enough walking room for the time being so after i have the 55g cycled then i can add the fish and empty the 20g all together i need to start the 20g fresh. Im going to keep the biological filter running for a while on my 55g tho its wicked awesome
