It could be from a change in waste levels...mine was pretty cloudy a couple times because of that. Do you have a testing kit? Some of the people here are great at trouble-shooting stuff like that if they get the chemical levels of your tank.

For a short term-fix, you could try changing out a bunch of water.

Did you move them into a tank with a bigger or smaller bio-load? probably a mini-cycle. or a big-mini-cycle. it means there isnt enough bacteria in the new tank to convert all of the ammonia being produced.

WHat color is the cloudyness? White, Green, Brown, Yellow? All of these are indicators of what is causing the problem.

Both brown and green would be a algae outbreak of some type.

Brown algae is usually because of
Excess silicates & nitrates
Inadequate light
Low oxygen levels
Green is caused by
Suspended microscopic algae
Excess light, especially direct sunlight
Too many fish
Excess nutrients
Excess wastes
My guess is the light is not a factor seeing how one is to much and the other is to little.

Cure
green algae -
Diatomic or micron filteration
Introduce daphnia to the tank
Brown algae-
Use silicate adsorbing resin in the filter
Stock a plecostomus or several otocinclus
and water changes will help with both.

It'll be there for a few to several more days, and then it'll clear up just fine. It's normal.

i changed some water and when i was draining the water i noticed this like grease stuff on the glass of the tank where water was so i took the water down to about 50% and whiped all the stuff off that i could and filled it back up and it was clearer
