Default Cherry Barbs

Hey everyone i have some questions. In my 10g i have 4 cherry barbs and one albino cherry barbs, thats a total is 5 barbs, all fullgrown, 1.5 inches. When i bought them i wasnt looking to breed them so i asked my LFS for the most colorful bright red one he could catch. Turns out they were all bright red b/c they were all males, even the albino has bright red tips. Would it overcrowd if i added 2 female cherry barbs? making a total of 7 cherry barbs?

If that's all you have in the tank, this will definitely not be overcrowding!

Adding 2 females to that tank will be a disaster. Imagine being starved for a girlfriend (you and 4 buddies) and someone drops 2 females between the 5 of you. How would you react? Take 2 males back and add a total of 4 females. That will help out.

I've got cherry barbs and I would definately recommend having more females than males. The males will color up even brighter, and the females won't be constantly picked on. I just love my cherry's, they do nothing but play tag all day.
And, very cool that you're open about being gay. I'm bi, but I'm usually not very open about it, even on message boards where nobody knows who you really are.
