you can add 2 two your 20g tank IMO. people here debate the frog poo thing, but as long as you keep up with water changes as you said, you should be fine. I had one before that would eat flakes, frozen brine shrimp, live blackworms, and guppies. They may eat fish that fit into their mouths.

I used to keep 3 ACF's (african clawed frogs - usually what albinos are - never seen an albino ADF) in my 20H. They were very happy in there. Huey, Duey, and Louie. Oh, I miss them - we lost them to a particularly unruly child that came to visit and is now banned from our home. I kept them alone, NO fish, with lots of decorations and hiding places so each could claim their own territory. ACF's do get quite large as they mature (5 inches or so, especially if you are doing your regular tank maintenance and feeding them properly - high protein foods like blood worms) and have little teeth that they have been known to draw blood on a human hand with. It's not a good idea to keep them with any fish for that reason. Even if they aren't able to eat the fish, they will grab onto and bite off fins. Also, they aren't as slow at eating as ADF's but they are still slower than fish, so to prevent them from starving, it's not a good idea to have fish in the same tank.
I was thinking about putting a school of small fish in my 20 when my red cap is better, but now I'm missing my ACF's again. What to do, what to do? Hope this has helped you a bit. ACF's do make wonderful aquarium pets. They were so much fun - shy at first but once they got used to us, they would come up to the glass and beg for a feed.

I don't know what is recommended for plants... I used plastic for mine... they liked to lounge around in them. Caves are always a plus just make sure that they can't get stuck in there, they'll suffocate if they can't make it to the surface. When they are small, ACF's (and for ADF's even as adults), their little feet can get stuck in the intake for your filter and they can drown that way -- a small piece of pantyhose stretched taut over the intake and secured tightly with a rubber band will fix that. I just changed the piece of pantyhose with every water change -- one pair of pantyhose lasts a LONG time. Also, the sides of your tank shouldn't be higher than 18 inches and you have to make sure that there are NO gaps that they can get out of. They are escape artists but die quickly out of the water. My ACF's LOVED the bubble wall -- they would surf on the bubbles to the top of the tank and then dive down and do it again. Hope you enjoy them -- they are SO much fun.

I once had 3 ACFs. I had them in a 29g of their own. I fed them Freeze dried bloodworms, and a food called reptomin made especially for frogs, turtles, newts, and any other water reptile or amphib. I had them for about a year, and then I added a newt. The frogs were ok with the newt for about the first 10 minutes, and then one bit the newts tail, slowely moving upward on the newt with its jaws. I witnessed the whole thing. I removed the newt, putting him in a 5g temporarily until I could get rid of the frogs. The next day my mom found the newt crawling around in the kitchen. It must have gotten out overnight, and went down the steps and accross the house. I was amazed.
