Default Thinking about using a black sand substrate in a 75 gallon

Hey guys,
I have seen some of the tanks that you guys have that you are using black sand. I think that looks incredibly sharp mixed in with a black background. I just had a quick question though. The fish i'm going to put in there are my livebearers. The only thing is though... the livebearers will have lots of fry. My question is some of the fish are sort of brightly colored (orange, light gray etc...). I also know that some of the fry rely on camoflauge for survival, am i correct in assuming that? Or even some of the other fish rely on camoflauge for survival. Will i still be ok in using black substrate?
Also, will be pleco be ok with me using black substrate?
I plan on getting a few malaysia trumpet snails to stir up the sand. This way all i pretty much have to do is drain the water 25% every 2 weeks and fill it up again.

thanks

The reason I use black substrate, is I've heard it makes fish show their colors more. If you want your babies to have hiding places, just get a bunch of plants. I use both live and fake. I like the live because it's a snack for the fish, lowers toxins in the water, and oxygenates (not much, but better than without plants).
I use fake ones, because I prefer to keep my themes mostly blue and black, and live plants don't exactly come in those colors The only bad thing about fakes, is they can cut the skin of fish if they swim against them wrong :/
Or you can get breeding mops... there's always some on Aquabid
