Default Great place to get cheap supplies...

I like to go to E-bay to find cheap supplies, I just picked up a Gal. of stress coat, 115 oz. black diamond carbon, 4- Fluval 404 filter pads, and 12 whisper 20-60 fiter replacement cart. for under $70 with shipping. Not too shabby in my opinion.

Yes, you're supposed to claim it on your taxes, and charge sales tax on sales to customers in your home state.

As a BUYER it's not a problem. You don't pay taxes on out-of-state things you BUY. I thought you meant do the sellers have to report their ebay income, which they do, but buyers don't have to report what they spent.

Well, here they have added a spot om your tax form to list any expenses you have had on out of state or online purchases(made form companies outside of your home state). The good folks at the ME Dept of Revenue will even provide and estimated tax if you aren't sure based on averages, or you can take the position of "prove it" and enter $0 in that area. Personally, I think they put it there because they know some people will add it in assuming they will get in trouble if they don't. For the amount of tax involved,I highly doubt they are going to audit you, and like I said, they would have a tough time proving it.

Yeah, it's called "use tax" Any goods that you buy online and don't pay sales tax on, you're supposed to report it on your state tax return. Or if there is a difference between the tax you were charged, and the tax you paid, (inotherwords, you pay less than your state tax rate) I believe you are supposed to report it as well. Little items don't get caught normally, but if you tried to buy a car over e-bay and didn't pay sales tax, they would hammer you for it.
