if you are refering to an opaline gourami, then they get to be about 6 inches.

I had a three spot gourami that I grow on to 8 inches, (with a little help from some special formulated mixes).

Serrasalmus
Tetradon
(figure eights and dwarfs are the
exception).

I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families:
Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers.

I fed it "growth flakes" AKA monster food. A bit expensive though, but at least I could keep it in my cichlid tank where it didn't feel threatened due to its diminutive size.LOL
