Default Male or Female

So I've recently learned that you can't have two male gourami's together...I want one more of these handsome young devils, and I'm pretty sure this guy is a male, which means I'd need a female. I wanna make sure you guys think he's male as well...i posted this within another thread, but I wanted to get out, sorry if this is annoying

As staed in your other post this fish is male. You seem to be taking good care of him, a 30 gallon with no other males and judging by what i can read on your heater the tank is at a good temperature for this guy. Keep up the good work,

There is no surefire way to sex these fish. The best way I know of is by looking at the dorsal fin. If it comes to a point it is most likely male. If it is rounded it is probably a female.
Here is a good link with photos and arrows to show the differances.

The ovipositor is the only surefire way to sex anabantids.
