Default well its kinda a fish

lol, i I was wondering what the minimum size tank is for an xolotle,
you probably wont get much info on these, but they are a type of unevolved newt!
they get about 6"-7" I think

I would say a 40 gallon or bigger. Some get more than 7 inches.

remember that most of the amphibians that get this big are often fish eaters.

I don't remember a whole lot about them. I was about to get one for my 60 gallon a while back and researched them a bit.

And like fishfirst said, dont put them with fish....that's a death sentence right there.

make sure your buying them and not water dogs, they look alot alike

You'll know if your buying an axolotle, they are harder to find and more expensive. Usually if your buying a water dog they'll tell you that it's the larval stage of a tiger salamander.

try axolotl.org

it's part of caudata.org and it VERY good info on them.
