Hey there guys,
Just recently got 6 emerald green corys. However, i'm not sure what to feed them. I was under the impression that they would clean up the bottom of the tank and eat up the uneaten food. Well... i had fed my fish some freeze dried plankton and then i dropped in a few shrimp pellets for the cories to eat. But so far they aren't touching them. Am i feeding them the right thing? The cories still seem to be trying to dig around and under the sand to look for food. I've had them for about 3 days now but so far i haven't seen them eat a bite. thanks

I feed mine Shrimp pellets, algae wafers and they eat the flakes that sink to the bottom. They sometimes mine dont look like they are eating when they are, it may be too that they are adjusting to your tank.

Last week i went out and bought a variety of foods 1. Flakes (that i already had) 2. Freeze dried plankton 3. Freeze dried baby shrimp 4. Freeze dried blood worms 5. Algae wafers (which they like to nobble on for some reason) 6. Shrimp pellets (which i figured the cory's would eat) I hope this should be sufficient for what some folks here say when they say that they fish need "variety". lol But i'll give the bloodworms a shot tonight when i do my feeding.
