hair alque
i want to get a fish that eats hair algue. it will be going in a tank with cardinal tetras and male apistogrammas. and i dont want it to get very large maybe 3 inches or less.

How big is this tank? An American Flagfish could work.

My dad got some pearl gouramis and just starved them for a week or so. Along with frequest water changes and less lighting, the hair algae went away. After starving the gouramis for a week, they started to eat the hair algae.

...I wouldn't suggest doing that. I mean, any fish will eat anything if it's starving. But that's kind of an extreme to go to, to get just get rid of some algae.

well he didnt starve them, he defiantely cut back on feedings though

46 gallons. but i want the fish to get along qith the apistogrammas and tetras. that the problem i facing.

It is tough. Goodieds eat hair algae, but they like hard water and are aggressive.
