Default Panda corys with a beta

I have a 5 1/2 gallon tank with a betta and i just got a new filter and heater for it. I wanted to add some more fish, and i was thinking about putting in three panda cory catfish. I don't know if this would be okay or not. Im open to suggestions of other fish too.

They would work i believe but i think that corys prefer groups larger than that. At last that is what i have read.

They would be fine together, you could go 4 Pandas since they stay small, but I wouldnt go more, 3 would even be ok, as long as they have a couple buddies.

Though pandas do usually better in groups of 6 or more, you could probably get away with only 3... but that's a bare minimum. No problem with the Betta. One thing though you have to consider : cory pandas are very cute and all but are also very fragile and sensitive little creatures. They demand very good water conditions and a good filter and maintenance routine is a must if you want them to remain healthy.

Good luck,

Sponge
