Default fire eel

anybody know anything about these?

so far i've seen that they grow anywhere from 18" to 39" and everywhere in between. they like neutral pH water, 78-82 degree water, sandy substrait to burrow, like eating meat and live foods, they are peaceful with fish too big to fit in their mouths, agressive towards each other when they get larger and will eat small fish.

anyone know if they would work with an oscar in a large tank (150g or so)

It would do good in a 150 gallon, oscar may attack it but probably not.

Pretty much all you need to nkow is in what you said, the main thing to kknow is it's potential size and that it will eat most fish that'll fit into it's mouth.

well, i would raise the oscar and eel together from babies, so that should help them get along a bit better. if i get a 8" eel and a 3" oscar, neither can eat the other and they'll grow up together, get to know each other when they're small and more timid.
