I recently messed my tank water up. It has been about 3 or 4 days now and my oscar is still breathing hard and just laying at the bottom of the tank. It has been doing this for days and it also has the dent on its head from the shock. I had the water tested at the pet store and they said everything was perfect. Is it going to die or will it snap out of it?

what do you mean by "messed my tank water up"?? What were the water parameters when the fish store tested it?? Its going to be hard to help you without knowing those things.

I changed all 4 of the filter cartridges out and then it started to lay around and started breathing hard. Then it started to get a little better and I noticed that the PH was at around 6, so I added that 7.0 PH to the water. The PH went up tp 7.0 then and went back down to 6.2. Someone was saying that if you shock it with quick PH changes it developes a dent on its head.

The filter is not the only place where biobugs live and your tank should recover in a short time. It will go through a mini cycle until the lost biobugs are replaced. With frequent water changes that should not hurt your fish. But please throw out the PH adjuster. A slow change in ph, fish can handle but not the fast ups and downs that those chemicals cause. Fish can live pretty well in a ph that is less then ideal for them. Unless you want to breed them and it reguires a certain ph value for them to spawn, I would not attempt to change what is natural for your water.

I also did a 50% water change and the PH is a constant 7. Think the fish will live?

qwik you need to tell us more information about your tank. Water parameters, temp, size, fish, etc.. Why did you do a 50% water change?
