Default Night Tank Observing

My new fascination is examining my tank at night. Not only was I able to clearly identify the mystery pistol shrimp, but also spotted another (about 1/4") after i heard some popping. Also, the pods are so fun to watch hoping around.

BTW when i first saw the 1/4" pistol, it was fighting with what must be the last bristleworm embedded in one of my newer pieces of rock. I wish i had a video so i could post that.

can't tell, the other is way too small. The bigger one that looks like a cleaner is about 1.5 inches

Neat!

Lmao, I know what you mean. I've been doing that lately, and i'll see spaghetti worms, peanut worms, amphipods, etc. that I never knew I had :P.

Have you guys ever noticed any glow-in-the-dark critters in your tanks?
We used to have really great lightshows at night down here using Florida rock.
