the new tank is here
it is a 112 gallon acrylic tank, with rounded front edges, a black painted back, a hex overflow in the center. tons of MH lighting fun, a chiller, a nice sump, live sand, 200 gallon worth of salt, etc etc the only things missing are the LR, which I will buy when I get back from my sierra trip, the water, and a heater, and a nice surge bar with day and night timers...a thermometer would be nice too I cant take pics of it now cuz im leaving in a few hours and I cant get to it at the moment, but when I get back I'll give everyone a good peek |

i should pick up the rest of the plumbing and such tomorrow and get it running with some freshwater for a day and then add the salt, and the I'll get about 85 lbs of LR that will be used to cycle the tank and after about a month everything in my 40 gal, everything but the LS, will be moved into the new tank. Meaning all the corals, the 4 fish, and the other 85 lbs of LR
I will post up pics when i get a good chance to take pics of everything set up |

...no...it wasn't me...from what I can remember, back before I got the original tank for the cichlids during the summer, I've always wanted a bigger tank

for some reason I'm having trouble with the journal section so I'll say it here
the tank is up, and there is water in it. After all of the plumbing I found a leak in the gasket of the return pump and found that I need to glue an elbow onto the skimmers water pump because it falls off after a little while. Today I am returning the pump and after the glue is dry on the elbow it will all be put back together and salt will be added. Then comes the LS and LR. Oh I finally got a good look at what the lights are. There are 2 250 watt MH's and 2 96 watt blue pcs....waaaay bright |
