Default Mixing clowns

So after adding my foxface to my tank (with 2 clarkiis and 2 firefish) I noticed that there is too much black, yellow, and white. Then I took a look at the list I had made for future fish and noticed that they were mostly yellow too. There is an obvious need for color

One idea I've had was adding another pair of clowns, but then I have been told that mixing clown pairs in my small tank (40g) would be a problem. Would it still be the case in this much bigger 112g tank? Would it still be a problem to put a diff kind in (which would be the only way of solving the color problem with adding clowns)? I was thinking either some maroons or some onyx to go with my pair of Clarkii.

Yeah in general mixing clowns is never a good idea. If you'd add them at the same time and they had around the same temperment you might be able to get away with it. Such as clarkii's and skunk clowns or tomato clowns.

there are plenty of other fish you can add for color.

I added a pair of clowns in with a large clarkii- at first there was small nippings going on, but f it was left in the false perculas would have ended up dead. They get VERY territorial as time goes on- more so if there's an anemone in the tank.
