Default over flow help...

i want to drill my 10 gal so that i cant do an overflow and i was wondering how large of an outlet tube i would need...

also based on the size i need how much space do i need under the tank if i came out of the bulkhead directly into a 90 degree elbow...

I currently have the 10 gal on a counter and im gonna build a small platform for it to sit on and i just want to make sure i build a high enough platform that it will all clear once i set it all up...

I think half inch would be plenty for a 10 gallon

Nuts. There's a chart for this somewhere on a popular DIY site, but I can't remember where at the moment. Anyway, CR is right; any pump you'd likely be using on a 10-gal should be able to use a 1/2" just fine.
