Default Puffer wont eat

I have has this spiny puffer for 2 years now great fish. He has always had a great appetite and extremely active. About 2 week ago he slowly began to eat less and less. Until he would just put the food in his mouth and spit it out. Then he totally stopped eating all together. Has not eaten in about a week and doesnt even seem interested in food. I have treated the tank with broad spectrum tetracyclin, melafix and pimafix for 7 days with no improvement. He still swims around the tank but is not as active as in the past.

I am thinking that maybe he has a possible intestinal blockage. Any is ideas as to what is going on or what can I do for this? Is there some type of laxative I can give him or something?

Default

Why would you put medication in the tank without knowing the reason he hasn't been eating? Why would antibacterial meds stimulate appetite?

What are your water parameters? Water quality is always the first thing to check when fish are not acting normal.
