Get a second tank, put a sponge filter in the main tank and move it to the fry tank with the momma when she's close to dropping. Clean water is key to healthy fry. Molly fry are large enough to take crushed flake food.

A Ten Gallon tank would be large enough for the fry.

Mollies tend not to, they prefer vegetable food and their fry are larger than guppy fry. But you should give them lots of floating plants (real or artificial) to make both mother and fry feel secure.

i dont know if you know this but mollies like other livebearers can store sperm and give birth 3-4 times, usually within a month from each other. the amount of babies they give birth to depends on their age.

Get a second tank for the fry, and about 3 females to 1 male, otherwise any less and the females get frustrated at the males.
