Hi, yesterday i was watching my tank and noticed a little movement in my java moss. I watched it and realized that my sunset fire platy had dropped. The thing is it has its color and is larger than a new born so i think to myself well thats cool i didnt think she was ever going to drop. I am glad i bought that moss it saved its life. I just let it stay there though and figured meh I hope it survives. Then i got interested and went in and checked around the moss to find another. I also found 6+ new borns that are still colorless. I was just wondering then should i let them be and live in the moss or put them in the breeder net because i dont want them to have birth defects like i have read about with nets and traps. I figure if the two have gotten to the color size and they are almost a 1/2 inch the others can too.

I would put them in the breeder net for day or so and let them settle becuase one fish is bound to eat them you have that many.

If some of your fry get eaten it doesent really matter their will always be more. Chances are 1 or 2 could survive naturally. I tihnk if you put them in a breeder net or box for a little they should be fine.

i personally would keep them in the tank if you put any you find in the net then all of them, includng any ones with birthh dfects will live,
however if you leave them in a tank with hiding places then some will survive if you do leave them in the tank increase the regulary feedings a bit but not much
