Default Baby Cory's

It's been a long while since I've posted in this forum but I'm glad to be back and announce I have False Julii fry. Ok, well at least the one I saw while cleaning . He's about as long as my lil pinky nail so it appears he's been in there a while. My cory's mostly hide under the decor and I have several plants so it's difficult to see what's going on in there. These are my first fry since I started keeping fish a couple years ago. Do I need to do anything special to care for them at this point?

at this point, I would say no, just because he's gone past the hardest phase already, if he found enough to eat when he had just hatched, and now he's almost a quarter inch long or so, I'de say he'll be fine.

Thanks. I spied at least one more 1/4 inch one today and unexpectedly teeny tiny ones that were barely large enough to see. I have a feeling I'm going to have a too large crew in my 12 gallon.

Oh yes, definitely another lot. Imagine my surprise to see I had youngens in the first place and then yesterday I slightly moved a piece of drift wood and out flew more itsy bitsy ones. Hopefully I don't end up with too many because it's a small tank and I already have the 4 original ones I got a couple years ago when I first set the tank up.

Sorry, I just noticed I put this in the wrong forum. Feel free to move me!

I bet I had at least 30 or more eggs but instead of buying a hatchery over the weekend I destroyed them. My tanks are too small for me to take the chance of not finding homes for the ltttle guys. I'm also not sure what market there is for them or if my lfs would take any. I might try to find all this info out before they spawn again. I do have at least two that are getting big and as cute as can be .

I usually let my water sit out a day before I do my water changes and due to the seasons changing I'm guessing they spawned after cooler water was put in. That's a good place to start if you're trying.

It's only been a week since I found the last set of eggs and I have more today. When will they stop?

I went and got a hatchery and food today and then spent the past 2 hours trimming plants, picking out snails, snail eggs and cory eggs. Took out some decor to clean off the snail eggs and the lil ones came out. Took a few pictures however they aren't the greatest since I stirred the water all up. I did a water change and put in the hatchery for the eggs so when the water settles I might try to take some more pictures. In one of these pics are 2 adults and 2 of the older youngens. The other picture you'll see I caught a smaller fry to the left. I've also seen smaller. They've been busy .
