Default What do you do with your fry?

So what does everyone do with their fry after they mature? Do you breed the best looking ones and sell the rest? Set up new tanks and keep them? Give them away?

I've never bred anything, but I've heard of people giving them to stores for store credit.

The only fry I've ever had make it to maturity is one rainbow cichlid which I still have, a few mollies which I traded for store credit, and three batches of kribensis that are still in the grow out tank waiting for the lfs guy to make room for them.

I still have Platy fry growing out. I plan on keeping a couple and giving/selling the rest to the LFS, if they'll take them.

I have some Multi fry as well and I plan on keeping those in the tank. If they start to get really prolific, I'll either sell them to the LFS or to other people.

Selling or trading to individuals/LFSs are not options in San Angelo.

This may sound terrible but I raise the guppy fry to juvies and keep the very nice looking (if any) males and females. The remaining juvies go into my main tank where I have four angels.

I usually trade my guppies with the local fish shop in exchange for fish food
