Default New Here!

Hello, my name is Emma and I am brand new to the "fish world"! I am 23 years old and live at home with my parents.... they just recently got me a 55 gallon tank and we are in the process of making it beautiful So far I have a golden gourami, a cichlid (not sure exactly what kind) and a pleco. I was planning on having a bunch of "colorful" fish but Im not sure which play well with which??! I originally had an oscar in the tank with the plecto and gourami but it was picking on the gourami, I did some research and learned that oscars are very agressive ( i had to move him ).... then I went and purchased the cichlid because it was in a tank with other gouramis but now that one seems to be very dominant and is picking on my gourami & pleco so, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Identifying the cichlid should help alot. Browse through live aquaria, and try to find out what it is.

It's an online site that sells fish. They have pictures of common aquarium fish, so I figured it would make it easier for you to identify the cichlid you have (unless you have pics). Just click through the cichlid categories.
