Talking 6 months, and a few hundreds of bucks later.....

I have:

(3) 6gal for breeding of guppies (wife's idea)
(2) 29gal glass. One planted, one aborted saltwater turned fresh again.
(2) 10gal glass. both are holding tanks for new livestock.
(1) 55gal chiclides.

Hey, ever heard of "curb critters"? If not, maybe its a Midwest/Iowa term. Means one who robs trash bins at night looking for treasure(s). Weeellll, I don't particularly care for 'em, but last night my stepdaughter came home all excited about something she had spied while her and this guy were out cruising. We hustled into the van and went to look it over. Turns out to be a 75gal acrylic fishtank. With a UGF. Hmmm... Into the van it went. Got home just as she had finished cleaning it up. Looks might nice - yea, has some scratches but at a savings of 400 - 500 bucks I can ignore the scratches.

We SCORED!!!!! Room for Pigglet and Piggy the two Tiger Oscars which are fast out growing the 55gal.

Thanks guys. Now all I need is a stand, light, filter, top. hmmm... free can still end up expensive. about how much weight is ~75 gals? I'm figure I will need a stand that can hold about 1000 lbs.

A stand that could hold that much would be great. Usually it's about 10lb/g figuring in substrate, etc. So at least 750lbs
