about 9 months ago my husband told me he was getting a 45 gallon fish tank, i said fine but he was to take full responsiblity for them, i said i will not touch them, i thought fish were very boring.
well now i think i might be addicted, if i am not reading abook about them then i am on here, we have had 4 sucsessful batches of guppy fry and 1 platy or swordtail (not sure which one the fry is) and last night i watched my guppy giving birth and caught the babies in a net as they came out, it was fasinating, i have about 35 fry in a little breeding box in my tank but next week my fry that are about 2 months old (which are in a 5 gallon) will be ready to go to homes so the new ones will be moved into that. i never knew fish could be so addictive |

Welcome to the site, Amy. You will soon become a victum of MTS....multiple tank syndrome, there is no cure, only getting just one more tank will somewhat ease the symptoms.......rofl

Now I'm the one addicted to it. I've been doing all the maintenance, research, and am hunting down more tanks. So far we have a 30g hex we set up, a 29g we are picking up this weekend, and I would love to have a 75-100g. I already have the spot picked out in the house. Welcome to the forums. There are a lot of people on here that know their stuff, and are eager to help.

hahahahaha.....we gotcha.give em a little fishy and pretty soon they will be on their hands and knees begging for more...
about 35 years ago i was at my cousins house.he had 2 tanks set up.all i did was sit and watch those fish all evening.then i went out and bought a 10 gallon tank.3 weeks later i got a 29.within a year i had over 100 tanks set up.the largest being a 240 gallon wood display tank.breeding about 15 different species.buying 30 pounds of tetra-min flake food and 100 pounds of frozen brine at a time. so just you wait...your turn is coming. Fishforums is a pretty awesome place.lots of very cool people with lots of fishy brainpower.and always willing to share information with you.
