Default The Debacle known as Atlanta Traffic

I almost made it to the show today... anyone know why the DOT decided it was OK to close off 4-6 lanes of traffic and trickle it into 2 lanes going thru atlanta!?!?!?! After an hour of it, I gave up & turned around as soon as I could get to an exit & headed back.

once you got stuck in the traffic machine there was no way out. it was unbelievable, worst traffic I had ever been in.

It is annoying, though there are ways around it. The worst part for me is that I live right in midtown so the only real way to get there is via 85. The nice thing is that it clears up fast, and if you pull off before 75 and 85 join it should be ok. (IE use northside or buford, then I like Juniper/Courtland (one way south) and then get back on Edgewood you should be ok.)

Note I took I-85 south at ~249D at like 5:00 pm and it was stop and go, but only took say 15 minutes.

At least they warned us on those signs. I just went around the perimeter.
