Hello World

So my name is Daniel, I'm 20 (21 in november) and new to the forum. Live in Southern California but go to school in Nebraska at UNL. While home last summer my girlfriend won two goldfish at a fair which got me buying my first tank one of those 5 gallon hexagonal eclipse ones (piece of junk if the guy is telling you it will be big enough to gyp you 50 bucks). Being a science person and one who loves owning all kinds of animals aquaria was the best thing ever to have gotten into.

I now have a tank here at school, pictures of it are in my album, which I will expand as I get some better pictures of my fish. I have a pretty good video of my red tailed shark too if you guys wanna look. I'm glad to have found this place!

Welcome. Glad to see that we have another Chicago fan. For me, nothing has yet topped Bebe Neuwirth as Velma and Marilu Henner as Roxie. At least nothing on Broadway.

I'm not sure about the goldfish comment, BC? I'd be worried more about the tank size. They might be in cold water, since zebra danios can handle colder temps.

Yeah, I hear you guys. When I go back during the holiday I'm gonna upgrade them, or split them up although I wish I could keep them. When my mother was younger her husband had a ton of fish, a tank in every room of their house, so shes been taking care of them for me and looking for bigger tanks around our area. I know my older brother has a couple tanks for his kids and they are 20gal +. I was naive and hustled! But don't worry!
