Default Hello

HELLO
Hi my name is Mark. I have been on a couple of forums and I am certainly happy to find this forum. I have numerous fresh water aquariums going right now, 5 at home here. I also take care of a small aquarium at the local school for the fifth grade class.
This looks like a very nice sight with allot of activity.

Hello Smark! Glad to have you with us. Tell us more about your tanks; what fish do you keep, what size are they, how did you get "the mts disease"?
If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. Someone around here I'm sure will have the answers for you.

BTW, I love your salutation, very cute!

I first got hooked when my kids wanted a fish in a 10 gallon tank. The rest is history.

Here is a run down of our happy world.

50 Gallon aquarium has 5 Cichlids and 1 Ropefish / Reedfish.

20 Gallon aquarium has 5 Corydoras, 5 Green Barbs, 3 Tiger Barbs, 1 Butterfly Pleco, 1 small Plecostomus Pleco and about 5 Tetras

10 Gallon has a gold fish and 5 Corydoras.

5 Gallon with 1 dwarf Pea puffer

5 Gallon with 2 dwarf Pea puffers

School Tank has 2 Corydoras, 1 Neon Tetra and 2 danios

It all keeps me busy.
I have found a way to spend next to nothing on filter media
The only thing I have to buy is Charcoal and white Scotch-Brite pads 6x9 you can filter 2 to 3 tanks on one pad. I put the charcoal in nylon footies (free) that you would use in a shoe store.

Wow... it's rare that we see a new member show up who is already doing everything nearly exactly right. Welcome to FF!

Thank you for the welcome.

Here are some recent photos I took. Hope you enjoy them.
I just started up another tank which brings me up to six. I'm hoping to get some fry from my Corydora's.
