My wife and I like it. We DVRd the first 2 episodes on Friday and watched them yesterday. Not only was I impressed by the show, but it was in 1080i (HD). I seriously doubt they put all the fish in at once. With some crafty editing it can look like they put all the fish in at once. They even say in episode 2 that it's a bad idea to do that, which it is. All it is is Cake Boss with aquariums instead of cakes.

Aquarium construction is interesting. But the episode i watched (mob tank, phone booth) were all about making a tank 'look cool' with fish an afterthought. I can just see whoever maintains the phone booth tank "thanking" these guys for having to a do Houdini escape every time they gravel wash. IMO, a person's first tank is all about the decor, and the longer one is in the hobby, the more the decor is optimized for the fish's comfort and easy maintenance. Its like every newb has $1M to spend. Just strange.
The other thing that really stuck with me was how heavy big tanks are, even empty and even when made of acrylic. Did you see them flipping the L-shaped one?

You could hear that one creaking. I was surprised it didn't crack.

What did you think of the 'trivia' questions? Do goldfish have stomachs?

They were ok. I was kind of hoping they did custom freshwater tanks too. Even if I had unlimited money I'd still go with freshwater.

Lol! I was going to post a thread about tanked. Has anyone seen the one with the flat screen tvs inside the tank? I only saw part of it.

yea i feel like its more like pawn stars with the questions. yea the show is based more of the tanks then the fish themselves. i also wish they would do freshwater tanks as well. but im interested in watching the series. hopefully more awesome tank setups.

The TVs were cool, but that's another surface to clean algae off of.
I want to see a show where someone who bought a $0.99 IR shark at PetSmart builds a tank to house it properly for its whole life, with 11 others because they are schooling fish. And the price-tag.

I am very disappointed with the show. I had hoped it would be a real aquarium show, but instead it's just a bunch of goobers slapping together some silly stuff.
I don't know why there isn't a real aquarium show.

Making tanks is interesting, but not as much as fish-keeping. I have never seen an aquarium show that wasn't a one time only look at a public aquarium. The message I get from that show is never work with family. Unrelated colleagues wouldn't treat each other like that.
