Hello fishy friends!

Hi to all, nice to be here!

My name is Lara, and I am a beginner really although I have kept fish in one way or another since I was a kid (with a fish pond). I am currently obsessed with learning as much as I can and figuring out how I can afford to expand this amazing hobby! I currently have only one heavily planted 60L tank with 6 zebra danio's, a pair of bristlenose catfish and about 70 of their babies (so there is a bit of a crisis currently in my tank as you can see)! In the past I have kept Betta's and mystery snails. In the future I'd like to keep raspora's, rainbow fish, cardinal and rummy-nose tetra's, maybe discus, oto's and cory's and a tank just teaming with ghost shrimp! However, I'm mostly interested in creating beautiful aquatic environments and adore few things more than an amazingly planted tank!

I'm a single mum to Isobel who is one and I'm studying to be an art teacher. In the past I have owned (one) and operated (many other) health food stores and have an interest in food as medicine. I'm into music and song-writing, want to learn to scuba dive and love, love, love the beach from outside and inside the water!

Welcome, Glad you stopped by and hope we can be of some help to you. If you want to get to know us better outside of the fish world you can stop in the water hole and read some general chit chat.

I was going to create a biotope in my 125 resembling waters in Northern Australia, but I'm postponing it for a year or so when I set up a permanent home (300Gallon) for my Saratoga. Until then I'm going to keep it mildy planted with low maintenance plants.
