New to this board....not new to fish. I take care of many tanks and am building a fish room now. I am intersted in breeding and furthering our hobby.

Hello all fish heads!

Hi! I'm also interested in building fish rooms for all the excess tanks I have. If you want any tips, or have any tips for me about how to make it easier to run a fish room, then just give me shout! I'm always around and about in the main forums. I currently run my fish room on a mains water supply system. However, for the more delicate fish like discus and marines, I leave them seperate from the main system.
There are many experienced aquarists around the board who would be more than happy to share their experiences with you. There are also a lot of novices who are in great need of an experienced hand to guide them in the right direction when it comes to the first steps of establishing a new tank. So if you ever have any spare time to help out any newbies around the place then that would be much appreciated.
See you around, I am looking forward to hearing all about you, your tanks and how you run them.

If you have a big enough tank with enough hiding places, pH of around 7, you can keep virtually any fish together as long as all the fish are around the same size and these two groups of fish are avioded:
Serrasalmus
Tetradon
(figure eights and dwarfs are the
exception).

I keep a successful community of fish in a 4 foot tank including the following families:
Cichlids, tetras, loaches, gouramis, barbs, rainbows, livebearers, killiefish, catfish, puffers.

Welcome to the forum. I have about 35 tanks in my fish room. It is very labor intensive. I'm researching a drip water change system now. Tell us about your plans.
