Talking Hello to All Fishy Folks....

Good Morning Folks!

I followed a couple friends to this site and I like it! Think I will stay. About me... About 5 years ago, I was told because of health issues I had to stop work and stop my passion for years, gardening, or horticulture. So...stuck in the house with nothing to do...kids all gone, I got a fish tank.

Well, now that has exploded into 20 tanks up and running and working on more. I am also putting together my first fish room! Woooo Hoooo! I have so many fish and so many different kinds, not sure I could list them off the cuff!

I presently have 4 different pairs spawning or with eggs. I love this "hobby"! There is always something new to learn and I love to learn new things! So perfect match!

I have never met a fish I haven't liked, or a fishy person!

Oh, I also have 4 grown son's, 1 patient & giving husband, 2 dogs & 1 cat who are jealous of the fish, and 1 very demanding ****atiel!

Well, there is me in a nut shell! Hope you enjoy me as much as I enjoy you!

Kathy

Welcome aboard. You're still a youngster but at 47 you can still help me keep these kids on this forum straight. I would like to see a list of fish species that you are working with.

Talking

Hey Ron!

Thanks for the wecome! Be glad to help anyway I can around here.

I have a wide range of fish here. I really have a love of the South American's though. So most of my fish come from that area, but not all.

My breeding fish at the moment are 2 pair of Angels, Silver pairs, are about 1 week old, and a Gold and Koi pair, with wigglers. I also have 2 pair of Rainbow Cichlids that both have wigglers right now. And a pair of Blue Acara with about week old fry also. I removed most of the fry, but they still have about 2 dozen and doing a great job of it. They are in a community tank, with the spawning Rainbow Cichlids. In this tank is also, tiger Barbs, Bos. Rainbows, And Tetra's. So, it's an amazing feat to still have any fry!

I also have some Blue Rams I hope to start breeding. I had a pair that spawned regular..but the female passed. The male even though I introduced him to another female, just lost interest. I just added a few more hoping to get him started again. I am also conditioning 2 pair of Betta's right now. And I am hoping for another spawn from my Bolivian rams soon too. And my Kribs are always spawning! They have 3 spawns living peacefully in the same tank right now. Need to split them up soon. They are in a large planted tank, and fish are NOT easy to catch in there, so have been putting it off.

Almost for got, have 2 tanks of Shellies! They are fairly new to me. But hoping the spawn some too. But who would know, they are in their shell most the time with the young. Ever try and do a head count on Shellies?

Well, that is no way, all the fish I have, just the ones I am working with or hope to spawn soon. I also have 4 Severums I would love love to spawn, but think they are all males, and females are hard to come by.

Here's a link to some of my fish and tanks if your interested...

I am just learning how to take pictures of my fish. So some aren't all that. But some I like quite abit.

Boy...I am chatty this morning. Hope I didn't bore you.

Kathy

NICE FISH! Your rams are great, good luck getting the male to spawn with a new female, once they pair up they tend to be very attached
