Brine Shrimp?
Okay, so I bought some brine shrimp eggs last year, and have managed to keep it alive until recently. I left the culture alone mostly, just drying out the eggs and putting them back in like I was instructed. 3 days ago, I put the eggs in the water, and nothing happened. I'm wondering if my culture is dead because none hatched. Does anyone know how to tell? Also, I'm trying to raise brine shrimp to adulthood now. What do I feed the brine shrimp? I heard hikari first bites would work, but Idk... I also want to try keeping the culture outside, as I read that brine shrimp eat algae also. What temp do brine shrimp die at? It get's down to freezing where I live.

There are some good instructions on the web. Many of them involve raising green water for the shrimp to eat. You see really specific instructions as to temp, and salinity, etc.
But people I know hatch brine shrimp for fry and take the left over eggs and salt solution and just dump it in a tub outside. Repeatedly. Then eventually they get lucky and get a live colony of BS of all ages that is filled by rain and fed by sunlight/algae. Salinity & temp must vary all over. But I've seen it work for several people.

Thanks! Is it possible to adjust them to low salinity, maybe even fresh water?
