Also... does this apply to dwarf puffers? or all puffers? Kind of strange to have just one tiny little 1 inch puffer for a 50 gallon tank. lol Would they do ok in a 10 gallon?

One quick question, i was reading around profile sites for the dwarf puffers and it says to feed it some snails to keep the teeth from getting to big. But it never said why to not let the teeth get too big. What would happen if the teeth got huge? Are plants ok with the puffer?

you dont need to worry about overgrown deeth with FW dwarf puffers. However,in most other puffers, if the teeth got too long, they could potentially starve to death. this would mean you would have to clip the teeth yourself or feed snails often. But if you are getting dwarf puffers, you dont need to worry about keeping the teeth worn down. snails do make a nice puffer treat though.

hmm... so if you didn't just get a dwarf puffer and the teeth got too long, How do you trim them? Do you trim them like you trim toe nails?

http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume...ry/puffer2.htm
this article talks about using a dremel tool and two different types of anesthetics. Once is clove oil, which i have read mroe of. I did have a really great article in the past on puffer teeth trimming with step by step instructions and pictures.... if anyone knows the puffer forums site that uses proboards...i can't seem to find it. That is where the article is.
