Yeah, still way more than hubby wanted to pay. He spoils me. Good thing we just got our tax refund or we never could have afforded them. I pick them up tomorrow! Oh, did I mention I got a palembang last week too?

hey... can someone give me a brief overview of puffers... whats the most common one ill find in local pet stores? how much room do you need for them? what others can they live with? what do they eat??

Ok, you're asking for a massive amount of information here. There's no real brief overview. The most common you'll find depends on your location and the store, and pet stores most often tend to not know what kind they have, what they require, or anything else about them. How much room they need depends on the species. For instance, dwarf puffers need 3-5 gallons each, whereas fahakas require 125g. With very, very few exceptions, they cannot live with anything else and most often cannot even live with other puffers. Puffers usually need to be in species-only tanks, and with few exceptions, one fish per tank. What they eat again depends on species type but they are carnivores and need a diet mainly of hard shelled seafood and snails.
