Default Glass Perch

has anybody heard of this fish, i was looking threw an aquarium book and i found it in the oddball section, i can no longer find this book(very old book by the way) if you kno anything about this fish tell me

i also could find no pictures on google or anyhting
the fish was translucent but had a yellowish brownish tint and had upper fins that looked like spines it had red eyes i think also.

without a scientific name, a common name is fairly useless... unfortunately, names go in and out of style, as well as species of fish. Scientific names are the only way to track the fish... although these even have been changed before which makes it even more difficult.

yes, it is the normal glass fish at petsmart and other petstores. It matched the description, except for the part about it being an oddball. It doesn't look all that odd to me.

it doesnt have the same color as the book showed. it may be if i ever come across the book again in a store ill write down the scientific name.
